Braxton Brooks is a comedy writer residing in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Washington, D.C. as the only child of a police officer and Social Security lawyer; So, of course she decided to become a professional dancer.
While performing gave Braxton a lifetime of stories to write about, including two spontaneous dance-offs, she retired from dancing to find a career that was gentler on her hamstrings.
Braxton currently writes and performs sketch comedy at The Second City Hollywood. Although she has been a semi-finalist for NBC Writers On The Verge, Austin Film Festival and the Harvardwood Writer’s Competition, her mom reminds her weekly that it’s never too late to go to law school.
